Invision.TV Unveils Interactive Program Guide for Internet Video
Invision.TV
launched its unique, new, web-based Interactive Program Guide for Internet Video that makes it easy for users to discover, watch and share content from video sites across the Web in an intuitive, engaging TV- like experience. Invision.TV will be unveiled this morning at the DEMOfall 08 conference, the "launchpad for emerging technology," in San Diego, CA. Consumers can start discovering new videos using the Invision.TV beta release today. In addition to its own Web site, Invision.TV is also launching a Facebook application that allows Facebook users to discover and share Internet video with their friends. The Invision.TV Facebook application is available at
http://apps.facebook.com/invision
.
Invision. The Future of Internet TV
Invision.TV (Internet + Television) brings together the open and interactive power of the Internet and the simplicity and engaging power of TV. The Web-based application finds, indexes and organizes millions of videos from a wide variety of video sites across the Internet seamlessly integrating video search & discovery, social networking, and personalization features into a patent-pending application that simplifies the navigation and browsing of video and allows users to find content based on their own personal interests.
Invision.TV Guide
Discover what's playing on video sites across the Web.
Invision.TV's first-of-its-kind guide brings together content from the growing number of Internet video sites across the Web and presents it in an easy-to-use, visual, TV-like user interface that enables a video search and discovery experience unlike any other video Web site today. The consumer experience is designed to take the known behaviors that work from TV, and extend and enhance them on the Internet. Users can find and watch a wide range of video from broadcast, cable, broadband and user-generated channels in a similar way in which they would browse or "channel surf" for their favorite programs on TV.
Invision.TV Video Search Engine
Search for video across the Internet, all in one place.
Users can search for videos across a wide selection of Internet video sites using Invision.TV's comprehensive video search engine. Invision.TV's advanced video crawlers continuously index the top video sites on the Internet to provide users with the most recent and relevant Web videos. Users can type in their search terms, and Invision.TV's proprietary algorithms will filter through our comprehensive index of videos to find and present the video choices that match their search criteria.
Personalization
Customize your "My.TV" experience with preferred channels and interests
When users sign up as a free member of Invision.TV, they can create their own personal profile that allows them to customize and personalize their own "My.TV" experience with the ability to:
Customize the Invision.TV Guide with their favorite video channels and interests
Create playlists of videos related to their favorite interests and passions
Subscribe to and become a fan of channels, interests, playlists and other people and see new videos as they are added in each of these areas
Social Networking
Discuss, rate, save and share video with friends.
Invision.TV is a fun way to discover and share online videos with friends and find people with similar interests and passions. As a member of Invision.TV, users will be able to discuss, rate, and share Internet video within the Invision.TV social network. Invision.TV's video focused social network makes it easier for users to discover new programming they are likely to enjoy but otherwise might not have found, by allowing them to browse the favorite videos of friends and other fans within Invision.TV and on Facebook.
Benefits to Internet Video Providers
Join the Invision.TV Video Partner Network!
Invision.TV is an ideal partner for video providers. We're a content- partner-friendly platform that does not host any video, but instead directs users to videos hosted on the providers' sites allowing them to retain total control. By becoming an Invision.TV Video Search and Syndication Partner, content providers are assured of inclusion in the Invision.TV Guide and search engine, allowing consumers to more easily discover content from a partner site while allowing the partner to increase awareness, audience and monetization of their video. Content providers can visit
http://partners.invison.tv
to sign up to get their content added to Invision.TV today.
