Dune HD And Beenius Partner To Deliver Best Of Breed IPTV Solution To Operators
Operators looking to deploy IPTV and Video on Demand will benefit from faster, lower-risk implementations that enable them to offer more services to users through a major partnership between
Dune HD
and
Beenius
announced today at TelcoTV2012. This will be demonstrated on the Beenius booth (number 105) at TelcoTV.
As part of the partnership, Dune HD’s advanced set-top boxes have been certified by Beenius and are now integrated with Beenius’ Beesmart open, flexible, and feature-rich interactive TV middleware platform. Together this provides an adaptable, integrated and best of breed solution to operators and system integrators, backed by the engineering expertise of both partners.
Dune HD IPTV and VoD Solutions
Over the course of the last five years, Dune HD has built a world-leading position in home media players and set top boxes, selling over half a million units of its award-winning products direct to consumers in 60 countries around the world. The partnership with Beenius is a key part of its new global strategy to extend this leadership into the content delivery market, making the full range of its products available direct to operators and system integrators, supported by its dedicated engineering team and wide partner ecosystem.
By working with Dune HD, operators benefit from a proven, available solution with an innovative range of features, customisable interface and a small form factor. This makes it simple for them to seamlessly deliver compelling content to users, optimising service monetisation by delighting subscribers. As well as entry-level IPTV players, Dune HD offers a middle and high range of hybrid solutions with support for Blu-ray and Digital TV (Satellite/Cable/TV) allowing operators to choose the best solution for their service offerings. All of these are available direct and can also be sold through Dune HD’s extensive existing retail sales channel.
Beesmart Platform Advantage
Beenius’ open Beesmart platform enables operators to provide the most exciting social TV experience to their subscribers. Beesmart empowers the uniqueness of every operator by providing a TV platform along with the tools for extensive upgrades and prompt customisations in a cost-effective manner. Beesmart provides a comprehensive application layer for providing interactive TV services, converging TV, phone and internet services on a single platform. This benefits operators and integrators by offering an ultra-fast user interface, intelligent content recommendation system, home media sharing, over-the-top support and the ability to host multiple operators on a single service delivery platform.
“In an increasingly competitive broadcast world, successful operators need to provide customers with exciting and innovative new services while ensuring that deployment is rapid, risk free and powered by flexible and customisable technology,” said Konstantin Dyshlevoy, CEO, Dune HD. “The combination of Dune HD’s strengths in media player and set-top box hardware and the flexibility of Beenius’ Beesmart middleware provides the perfect fit for their needs. Together we deliver a ready-to-go, proven solution that is based on our award-winning technology and Beenius’ expertise and partner ecosystem, helping operators to turn content into revenues.”
“Our Beesmart IPTV/OTT platform today meets the requirements of future oriented operators where openness of the ecosystem and simple customisation enables them to provide features and services that drive sustainable growth,” said Matjaž Bevk, CEO at Beenius. “By certifying Dune HD’s advanced range of set-top boxes we are adding them to the choice for our customers and partners and lowering the deployment risk through our close working relationship.”
The range of certified Dune HD set-top boxes with Beesmart pre-loaded are available now, direct from Dune HD and also through its system integrator partners.
