Tut Systems Showcases MPEG-4 AVC Solution at TVoDSL
Tut Systems
Inc., an industry leader enabling the delivery of next-generation data and video services over broadband networks, will showcase its industry-leading MPEG-4 AVC solutions for encoding and transcoding on 25-27 January at TVoDSL and Triple Play Showcase 2006 at Stand #213.
During 2005, Tut Systems more than doubled its base of international IPTV deployments and counts IPTV deployments in more than 18 countries across 5 continents. The deployments were the result of multiple international reseller relationships and the launch of the Astria content processor's (CP) MPEG-4 AVC encoding and transcoding capabilities. With nearly 2000 channels and more than ten 100+ channel headend wins in various stages of deployment, the Astria CP, and its recently released Multi-Stream Processor (MSP) card, are leading the telco market for MPEG-4 AVC.
"As the leader in the Global IPTV video headend market, Tut Systems is proud of our growing success in the emerging MPEG-4 AVC headend space," said Bob Noonan, Vice President of Global Sales and Service for Tut Systems. "The rapid adoption of our MPEG-4 AVC technology shows that Tut Systems is committed to delivering world-class video processing solutions to our new and existing customers."
At this year's TVoDSL & Triple Play Showcase, Tut Systems will also demonstrate its industry-leading, standards-based IP Forward Error Correction (FEC) capabilities of the Astria® content processor. IP FEC allows routed video networks to recover seamlessly from lost or reordered packets that cause degradation in video quality.
The Industry's Leading IPTV Platform for Telcos
More than 150 service providers across five continents deliver IPTV powered by Tut Systems digital headends. The Astria family of video processing platforms, which serves as the core of the company's digital headend solution, processes both analog and digital video streams from multiple satellite and local sources in a variety of formats. The Astria CP supports MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC video compression, local ad insertion, forward error correction and provides real-time conditioning for distribution of video and audio over any ATM, IP, or RF broadband network. The Astria VSP provides the highest density, carrier class, single chassis product for the delivery of IP video over RF broadband access networks, including coax and FTTP (Fiber to the Premises).
About TVoDSL & Triple Play Showcase 2006
The third edition of Upper Side's TVoDSL conference/exhibition will take place in Paris January 24 to 27, 2006. Video transport standards, set-top- box, home networks, middleware, access networks, compression tools: all the technical issues will be addressed in detail by the major manufacturing, economic and regulatory players.
