Latens Systems, Europe's leading provider of IPTV Conditional Access, announced that following Multimedia Polska awarding it a contract to provide Conditional Access technology to protect the revenues and content for its IPTV launch, the Latens solution is now installed and fully deployed. Multimedia Polska, which presently has over 450 000 analogue cable subscribers, launched its IPTV service in the second quarter of 2006.

The Latens solution is part of a pre-integrated IPTV solution chosen by Multimedia Polska, which includes: Tilgin Mood 300 IP Set-top Boxes, Latens FCAS Content & Revenue Protection and Minerva Network’s iTVManager middleware. The ecosystem, which was launched in March 2006, provides customers with a seamless and secure migration path to advanced IPTV services. Being part of a pre-integrated solution enabled the Latens security to be installed soon after contract signing.

Multimedia Polska plans to roll out Digital TV throughout Poland in a staged approach to increase viewer satisfaction through enhanced TV services, including advanced navigation and EPGs, VOD, interactive programming and other new exciting content services.
