IneoQuest Assists Microsoft Mediaroom Development and Deployment
IneoQuest
announces the availability of two solutions that now bring complete monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities for Microsoft Mediaroom, from development and lab trials to full scale market deployment. IneoQuest's new IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Installer Edition enables service providers to easily verify turn-up and investigate issues in the field. In addition, IneoQuest has also upgraded its IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Advanced Edition for greater analysis and troubleshooting for Mediaroom development. With these products, IneoQuest is helping to improve Mediaroom QoS across the entire delivery chain and enable its customers to meet subscriber demands.
Unlike other test and turn-up solutions available, IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Installer Edition is designed and optimized specifically for field use. With easy installation on any Windows laptop and an intuitive user interface, IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Installer Edition allows service providers to quickly and economically monitor, test and collect data about Microsoft Mediaroom deployments for IPTV, VOD, and multi-room DVR services.
By monitoring IP traffic across these Mediaroom services, IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Installer Edition provides simple pass/fail results, as well as quick and accurate fault identification, for troubleshooting. With all measurements and data saved, including channel change timing, packet loss and Instant Channel Change signaling, deeper analysis can be conducted by tier 2/3 technicians for issues detected. Leveraging the sophisticated analysis provided by IneoQuest's IPTV Mediaroom Advanced Edition, service providers can analyze the field data and remediate issues like packet loss, D-Server communication issues, capacity problems, R-UDP fulfillment efficiency, and status messages.
In addition to providing the full-scale analysis for deployment technicians, IneoQuest's IPTV Mediaroom Advanced Edition has been greatly expanded to provide Microsoft researchers and developers, its partners, and service providers' central operations staff with significantly advanced analysis and testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities. For example, IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Advanced Edition now goes beyond simple IPTV services to include expanded application coverage for Microsoft VOD transactions, protocols and transport; Microsoft in-home services, including multi-room DVR, signaling and status protocols; and the soon-to-be-available HomePNA testing.
IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Advanced Edition also now supports all Microsoft RTP Header Extensions decoding, provides a Microsoft STB boot-up analyzer and addresses NTP decoding and analysis. These new features expand the tool's previous ability to monitor and measure channel change timing, packet loss, Instant Channel Change signaling, and many other parameters (R-UDP, IGMP, DHCP, etc.) allowing for quick and accurate fault identification and troubleshooting.
