NeuLion and SVT World announce a new partnership and debut of a dedicated television service for the Swedish community in the U.S. and Canada.

By partnering with NeuLion, SVT now provides a Swedish television service to the homes in a previously untapped market through its IPTV service. NeuLion delivers an end-to-end service for SVT and this is the first time SVT will be available in North America as a linear broadcast.

With approximately 185 international television channels in approximately 55 countries, NeuLion offers a global audience the ability to stay connected through its multi-platform IPTV service.

By using an Internet connection, NeuLion's IPTV service costs less than other providers and allows its partners to get to market quicker and reach to more homes. New data from Nielsen reveals that more than 80% of Americans have a computer in their home, and of those, almost 92% have internet access, according to a detailed study on home internet access from The Nielsen Company, which reports that this number is up from 77.9% one year earlier.

SVT plans to soon expand its service with NeuLion to other continents.
