Stickam.com Partners with CEA To Bring Live Streaming to CES
Stickam.com
will be the exclusive provider of video streaming of the “
UP NEXT at CES: Creativity, Content and Cash
” program and the conference
SuperSessions
at the 2010 International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association, the show will be held in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2010.
CEA expects 110,000 attendees at this year’s show, with 2,500 exhibitors showing off the newest technology gadgets and consumer electronics. More than 250 educational sessions will take place over four days, showcasing the knowledge of 800 expert speakers. Through the exclusive partnership, Stickam.com will allow all viewers to watch the action from CES.
Stickam.com will be providing live and delayed streaming of the “UP NEXT at CES: Creativity, Content and Cash” program held in conjunction with CES. Taking place on Thursday, January 7 and Friday, January 8, the special series of sessions aims to cut through the new media hype and present real-world strategies for monetizing media content across the most promising platforms – from smartphones to broadband-enabled HDTVs. Keynotes include Stephen Chao, veteran TV executive and President of wonderhowto.com, who will analyze the relative profitability of “traditional” and digital media using real-world revenue figures and Ben Silverman, the Emmy-winning executive producer of The Office, Ugly Betty and The Biggest Loser, who will reveal for the first time the plans for his new company Electus.
Other top media, business and technical speakers such as CNET’s Natali Del Conte, ESPN Senior Vice President Artie Bulgrin and Funny or Die CEO Dick Glover will provide practical ideas and strategies to consider when it comes to producing, promoting and profiting from media content.
"When you're launching a major media conference like Up Next, you want everything to go smoothly,” said Arthur Greenwald, Co-Producer of Up Next and President of Greenwald Media Inc. “We chose Stickam to stream our top sessions because of their rock-solid reputation for reliability plus their strong production values."
In addition to the keynotes, other key Up Next sessions include:
Thursday, Jan. 7, LVCC, North Hall, N350: “The Numbers: Who Watches What and Where”
Thursday, Jan. 7, LVCC, North Hall, N250: “Monetizing Original Media: 5 Winning Business Models”
Friday, Jan. 8, LVCC, North Hall, N250: “Creative Convergence: Energizing Entertainment”
Friday, Jan. 8, LVCC, North Hall, N250: “Right Here, Right Now: Monetizing News and Information”
“Stickam has been a leader in monetizing live streaming digital content, so we’re thrilled to have our technology aligned with the Up Next at CES program,” saidStickam.com CEO Steven Fruchter. “We regularly work with media companies looking to utilize our streaming platform, so it is a great fit that we’ll be providing the streaming for this important series of sessions.”

Highlighting the agenda is Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski, who will join CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro on Friday, January 8 in the Las Vegas Convention Center for a discussion about the FCC’s competition policy, wireless spectrum scarcity, broadband and other issues impacting the consumer electronics industry. Additionally, the popular

competition will also be streamed for viewers not in attendance.
“The SuperSessions at CES are an integral part of the conference program at the top consumer electronics show, providing some of the most informative and entertaining material for attendees and online viewers,” continued Fruchter. “We’re very excited that CEA has chosen Stickam to be its exclusive streaming provider for these sessions.
