IMAKE Rolls Out Solution Suite for IPTV
IMAKE
is pleased to announce it has partnered with systems integrators Electronic Data Systems and
Tech Mahindra
to deliver a highly scalable IPTV solution based on IMAKE's OpenVision product suite with Sun Microsystems' newly released Sun Streaming server. EDS and Tech Mahindra will bring advanced service management and delivery expertise to the partnership and enable accelerated time to market for deploying an IPTV solution.
IMAKE's solution is the most scalable and open providing EDS and Tech Mahindra the ability to immediately roll out next generation IPTV solutions around the world. IMAKE's solution suite for IPTV is being installed at Tech Mahindra's lab in Pune, India, and at EDS's lab in Plano, TX. IMAKE's open systems design, innovative workflows and Offer Management, targeted advertising, and the ability to easily scale to millions of customers are key factors supporting the solution.
IMAKE's Asset Management System has several innovative workflows that manage not only the distribution of up to 30,000 VOD assets per month, but also tracks the delivery of thousands of simple and complex asset "Offers," giving service providers the ability to market, sell, and generate significant additional revenue streams. The Asset Management System also contains dynamic playlist management to enable service providers to insert targeted advertising videos based on specific advertising campaign rules from IMAKE's Ad Exchange product.
IMAKE's Entitlement server is integrated to major billing system providers such as AMDOCS and CSG Systems and will enable EDS and Tech Mahindra to more quickly deploy IPTV solutions to market. The Entitlement server enables the launch of VOD products and services quickly, providing real time credit checks, persistent subscriber data, and historical usage to over 11.5 million set top boxes annually. IMAKE's Entitlement server includes open interfaces to billing systems, navigation servers, and web portals.
IMAKE's Session Resource Manager provides a core open systems solution for session management, QoS, and bandwidth allocation. This agnostic component allows service providers to cost effectively add new services including switched broadcast, targeted advertising, VOD, games, music and Internet service. It enables service providers to integrate with any video server vendor, any middleware vendor, and any network provider while still giving service providers the flexibility and scalability they need with their legacy systems. IMAKE's Session Resource Manager is being released to work in a Highly Available environment scaling to millions of simultaneous sessions in 150 milliseconds or less average session set up time.
IMAKE's backoffice suite is designed for the kind of scalable deployments EDS and Tech Mahindra manage every day.
"Tech Mahindra is very pleased and proud to be in a position to offer complete end-to-end Telecom solutions to its customers in IPTV and Video streaming. Telecom Service Providers are actively looking for solutions that can enable them to offer a rich bouquet of advanced revenue generating services. IMAKE Software can deliver a key piece of the IPTV value chain by providing open systems based, highly scalable solutions for asset management, entitlement, and session management. Tech Mahindra is very pleased that IMAKE is one of the ecosystem partners offering complete end-to-end Telecom solutions to its customers," said Shankar Allimatti, Vice President, Next Generation Technologies.
