SecureMedia
, Inc. and
InfoValue Computing
, Inc. jointly announced that InfoValue has licensed SecureMedia's Encryptonite System CA/DRM software for integration with InfoValue QuickVideo, a state-of-the art video streaming platform for Telco and MDU/hospitality IPTV service providers. The Encryptonite System will provide content encryption and user rights management for secure delivery of Hollywood VOD and Broadcast IPTV content through the QuickVideo platform.
InfoValue's QuickVideo is the award winning software platform for comprehensive video streaming functionality over IP and cable networks, including video-on-demand, video multicast, IPTV, Network PVR (for instant replay), and content distribution. InfoValue QuickVideo is based on a standards-compliant, open architecture that is optimized with innovative, patented technologies to ensure flexibility, extensibility and scalability.
SecureMedia's Encryptonite System is an open platform CA/DRM software solution that protects both broadcast and on-demand video services delivered over IP networks. The system operates on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms and features an ultra-light and processor-efficient client for low cost integration in resource constrained embedded devices, set-top boxes, and PCs. Encryptonite provides content owners and distributors the highest levels of digital content security while offering service providers operational flexibility, massive scalability, and low overhead performance in protecting VOD and Broadcast IPTV.
"The Encryptonite System is an important element of our IPTV solutions that deliver a wide range of video content to fit the needs of telcos, hospitality, government, and enterprises that require strong content protection," said Aubrey Flanagan, VP of Business Development and Solutions at InfoValue. "Integrating the Encryptonite content protection with our QuickVideo platform provides another part of our overall strategy to deliver a multitude of secure premium entertainment and custom services over IP connections. SecureMedia fulfils our requirements for strong content security, scalability, ease of integration, and multiplatform support for our product line."
"SecureMedia is thrilled to have the Encryptonite System selected by InfoValue Computing to protect top broadcast and VOD content delivered through their QuickVideo platform," said Fred Ellis, CEO of SecureMedia. "InfoValue is a recognized leader in the development and delivery of innovative broadband IP video solutions for the residential, hospitality, enterprise and government markets. We are proud that they selected the Encryptonite System for its security, flexibility and efficiency to complement the performance, scalability and intelligence of their platforms."
