Verizon FiOS Adds A&E HD and FOX Business Network
Verizon launches two new channels on
Verizon FiOS TV
, A&E in high definition and the new FOX Business Network, giving customers additional choices for entertainment and business news. The channels are available in all Verizon FiOS TV markets.
"We're continuing to add great programming to keep Verizon FiOS TV at the head of the pack," said Terry Denson, vice president - Verizon FiOS TV content and programming. "Customers deserve it, and we're determined to stay No. 1."
A&E HD offers the real-life series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" and "Criss Angel Mindfreak," as well as critically acclaimed original movies, dramatic series and justice shows such as "Cold Case Files" and "The First 48." It is also home to high-profile off-network series "CSI: Miami" and "The Sopranos."
FOX Business Network is a financial news channel delivering real-time information across all platforms that impact both Main Street and Wall Street. Owned by News Corp., the network is headquartered in New York and has bureaus in Chicago, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., and London. It is on the Web at
www.foxbusiness.com
.
A&E HD and FOX Business Network are the latest additions to FiOS TV Premier, a package of more than 200 all-digital channels, starting at $42.99 per month. Channels are easy to find in the lineup because they're organized by categories such as "sports," "news," "pop culture" and "family." HD channels, which also are grouped for easy access, are available in FiOS TV Premier with no additional service fee. Customers need an HD-capable TV and an HD set-top box to receive HD channels.
Verizon FiOS TV is 100 percent digital TV powered by the cutting-edge technology of fiber optics. Verizon is the only major telecom company whose network has earned the certification of the independent Fiber to the Home Council for providing fiber all the way to customers' homes. Verizon FiOS TV is available in parts of 12 states: California, Delaware, Florida, Indiana Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia.
