Celrun Co., Ltd. has agreed to supply H.264HD level (MPEG4 AVC : Advanced Video Coding) IPTV set top box to Hanaro Media (former Celrun TV) amounting to the Kr 57 billion (based on fixed volume).

Celrun announced that it has entered the contract as above-stated with Hanaro Media, the IPTV service provider.

Hanaro Telecom is the IPTV service specializing company who provides the TV portal service to the high-speed internet subscriber whose 65%of share is held by Hanaro Telecom and the remaining 35% of shares is held by Cerun. The share distribution of Hanaro Media.

HD level IP Set top box(Model Name : TD900H, See photo) will be provided to Hanaro Media by Celrun, as the convergence products enabling to receive the HD-level ground wave broadcasting and IP VOD service through the digital tuner.

This product is advantageous in receiving the HD-level ground wave broadcasting without separate HD-receiving set top box and IP VOD in H.264HD level is capable of effectively operating the network bandwidth and storage space.

Celrun has the stepping stone to dominate the domestic IPTV market by utilizing its accumulated know-how in overseas market by supplying the TV portal service capable products to Hanaro Media.

Meanwhile, Hanaro Media aims at 0.3 million subscribers for this year, initiating the test service from last January to enter the formal service from this July, to plan to strengthen the leading position in the domestic IPTV service business.
