SysMaster, Verimatrix Partner to Improve IPTV Content Security
SysMaster
and
Verimatrix
have announced a partnership that will dramatically improve content security over public networks. Under the terms of the partnership, SysMaster will integrate its Tornado M10 set top box with the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System, which provides robust, end-to-end security, enabling Tornado M10 to deliver secure video content across any network.
The award-winning Tornado M10 enables providers to launch IPTV and other offerings quickly and cost-efficiently, direct to consumer TV sets over broadband lines. Moving forward, SysMaster will integrate its entire IPTV product line with Verimatrix technology, including the VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing middleware, the iptvSwitch streaming server, and the muSwitch multicast-to-unicast converter. The SysMaster IPTV product line offers end-to-end equipment solutions, enabling customers to provision, manage and bill for lucrative IPTV and Video-on-Demand services.
By integrating its popular and innovative IPTV products with Verimatrix's widely acknowledged and respected content protection technology, SysMaster can now provide IPTV solutions that meet the highest content security standards.
"We are very pleased to be able to build a relationship with a company of the stature of Verimatrix," said Martin Yosifov, SysMaster Director of Marketing. "This partnership represents major progress for the IPTV industry and heralds a bright future for vendors, content providers and customers, who now have many more options for sourcing quality content."
The SysMaster-Verimatrix partnership addresses the pervasive concern of content providers regarding Internet security breaches and theft of proprietary content, with consequent revenue loss and legal exposure. These issues, which caused providers to hesitate about committing to IPTV, had the potential to slow adoption and industry growth. Now, with a reliable security solution, IPTV momentum can continue its swift expansion across global markets.
"Our content protection, coupled with SysMaster's ability to provide a complete end-to-end solution is very much needed in the market today," said David White, Director of Partnerships and Alliances, Verimatrix, Inc. "Now customers have a secure and integrated solution -- a 'one stop shop' for their IPTV offerings."
