Verimatrix Underscores Key Strengths of 3-Dimensional Content Security
Verimatrix
enhances the value and security of pay-TV networks with advanced technologies designed to address the content protection challenges of today, and those of tomorrow. The Verimatrix 3-Dimensional Content Security approach provides a framework to enhance operator competitiveness and the consumer experience in the new world of pay-TV. CEO Tom Munro and other key executives will be available for press and analyst interviews.
WHAT:
Product Focus:
VCAS for DVB -- Verimatrix's latest offering is a new breed of DVB hybrid content security. Network operators are able to combine DVB broadcast technology with interactive IP service delivery using a single robust content security architecture. VCAS for DVB provides a much needed choice of client security technologies in satellite, cable and terrestrial broadcast networks where no direct return path is available -- all from a single head-end. The solution provides a lower total cost of ownership, while fully supporting subscriber upgrades in a market that is steadily moving towards two-way connectivity. Stop by the booth to receive a copy of Verimatrix's latest whitepaper on Securing DVB Hybrid Networks: Enabling New Business Models for Higher Value Pay-TV Services.
VCAS for IPTV -- Verimatrix's flagship solution has recently renewed its position as the global number one IPTV content security solution, reinforcing the key role content protection plays in enabling creative new revenue streams. Falcon Communications will be demonstrating how it has leveraged VCAS for IPTV for commercially successful IPTV wholesale service delivery at Verimatrix's booth.
3-Screen Security -- ViewRight PC Player, ViewRight STB, and ViewRight® Mobile will be featured for Verimatrix's continued commitment to enabling multi-screen pay-TV delivery options including PC, Mac and mobile devices.
Presentations:
MPEGIF Master Class -- "The Standards Based Ecosystem." Steve Christian, VP of Marketing, will participate on an Open IPTV Forum panel to discuss how IP-based technology factors into pay-TV operators' service goals and business models. He will also debate the merits of an open and end-to-end specification for a universal IPTV standard.
WHEN: Sunday, Apr. 19 at 4:15 p.m.
Telecom 2009 Conference -- "A New Concept for Robust Video Marking." Niels Thorwirth, director of Media Security, will present his paper outlining the challenges of developing robust, yet invisible, digital watermarks to enable broader content distribution. He will argue the advantages of human readable and forensic marks that make premium content more secure and establish strong evidence linking the content to a consumer while maintaining privacy.
WHEN: Wednesday, Apr. 22 at 3:10 p.m.
Broadcast Engineering Conference -- "Watermarking - What Approach Will Hollywood Adopt?" Steve Oetegenn, chief sales and marketing officer, will present the latest content marking techniques, including human readable forensic watermarking, machine readable copyright technology and digital fingerprints, and how they differ in application and popularity. He will also discuss the pros and cons for broadcasters along with the current trials that are being undertaken.
WHEN: Thursday, Apr. 23 at 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: NAB 2009, Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #C1754
WHEN: Apr. 20-23, 2009 during exhibition hours
