Experts in designing, sourcing and installing residential electronics systems will get an up close, in-depth look at ZeeVee's ZvBox at the CEDIA EXPO 2008 Sept. 3-7 here at the Colorado Convention Center.

Collapsing the barrier between the Internet and HDTV, ZvBox is a new consumer electronics product designed to allow the end user access to any Internet TV, online video, music or computer content from all HDTVs in the home. ZvBox simplifies whole-home AV distribution by "localcasting" stored local media from hard drives or network-attached storage devices to any and all HDTVs on the premises. Since it leverages the home's existing coaxial cable wiring, it requires no additional set-top boxes, Ethernet cables or wireless transport, which can be subject to interference and performance degradation problems. The included ZvRemote is Windows Media Center compatible and works with select local media players and an increasing number of Internet video portals.

ZeeVee's new ZvBox is the first device that allows consumers to watch anything they can get online or on their computers on all their HDTVs. By connecting to the monitor output of the computer, ZvBox turns the computer screen into a new private high-definition TV channel called Zv, which it then localcasts across the existing coaxial wiring to all HDTVs in the home. ZeeVee commenced shipping to customers on August 4th.

CEDIA EXPO 2008, a leading show in the residential electronic systems industry, arms professionals with industry knowledge and practices by bringing education, new technology, free product training and more than 500 exhibitors and approximately 30,000 attendees to Denver.

Priced at $499, ZvBox is being offered as a bundle including the ZvRemote and is now available to authorized re-sellers from ZeeVee's distribution partner, D&H, and is available for consumers to purchase at Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, JR.com, NewEgg.com, TigerDirect.com, and at ZeeVee's own storefront.
