NAB and iHollywood Forum Announce Final Lineup of Sessions, Speakers and Sponsors for IPTV World
The National Association Broadcasters (NAB) and iHollywood Forum, Inc. have announced the final slate of sessions, speakers and sponsors who will participate in the inaugural IPTV World event The summit takes place Wednesday, April 26, 2006 during NAB2006 at the Las Vegas Convention Center as part of the official NAB program.
NAB2006 will take place April 22-27, 2006 in Las Vegas (exhibits open April 24), and is the world's largest electronic media show covering the development, delivery and management of professional video and audio content across all mediums. Complete NAB2006 details are available at

Satellite and cable have been battling it out for a decade with industry watchers taking sides and making bets on who will win. With over 70 million cable subscribers and 16 million satellite subscribers in the U.S. market, the telco industry is taking on a huge challenge by deploying pay television services. IPTV World will address challenges and strategies for increasing profits and revenues in this emerging industry.
"Unknown to most consumers, telcos are preparing an assault on the television domains now controlled by cable, satellite and broadcast companies," said Michael Stroud. "The best known examples are SBC and Verizon. But dozens of smaller telcos are also beginning to offer IPTV. This conference will examine the emerging IPTV landscape." Advanced rates for IPTV World registration are available through April 19 with two types of available tickets. Basic tickets are available for $250 and Deluxe tickets are available for $325 through April 19.
