On September 10 a preliminary program of a series of ЕЕВС 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting International conferences was announced. The conferences will be held within the program "Ukraine on Air" at the largest Ukrainian exhibition for telecommunications and broadcasting from October 21 to 23, 2009 at KyivExpoPlaza exhibition center.

On October 21, 2009, on the first day of the exhibition, the International Workshop Conference "Telecommunications and Broadband Networks" on the prospects of leading-edge technology and telecommunication services, such as LTE, broadband Internet access, mobile Internet access, IPTV services, mobile TV, etc., will be held.

The event will feature presentations on the following topical themes:

• UNTC Net Multi-service wireless pre-WiMAX network (OLEG VASHCHENKO, Deputy Technical Director for development and operation of the Ukrainian Modern Telecommunications network),
• LTE Mobile Broadband opportunities (BOSCO EDUARDO FERNANDES, UMTS Forum Information and Communication Technologies Chair),

On October 22, 2009, on the second day of the exhibition, The Second International Scientific-Practical Conference “Technologies of Satellite Communication and Broadcasting” will be held. Leading experts of the industry will give presentations on the most important issues: creation of the first Ukrainian communication satellite, development of the National satellite communication system, international cooperation in the field of satellite communication and broadcasting. In addition, the business program will include topical aspects of legal regulation, legal framework, and certification of satellite telecommunication network equipment. Leading satellite system operators – SES-ASTRA and Eutelsat – will take part in the conference.

On October 23, 2009, on the third day of the exhibition, a seminar will be held on the topic: "High-definition television and digital cinema". During the program, such issues will be considered as the implementation and dynamics of development of digital cinema in the world with a focus on European countries, in particular the use and impact of 3D on the production and distribution of movies, as well as the development of HDTV technology. The seminar will be organized by leading experts from international organizations, the European Digital Cinema Forum (EDCF), HIGH DEFINITION & DIGITAL CINEMA LTD (HDDC), and the Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Radio and Television (UNIIRT).

The seminar will feature the following presentations:

• Understanding HDTV Technology (PETER WILSON, international consultant in High Definition Television and Digital Cinema (HDDC)),
