Espial IPTV has successfully completed an IPTV pilot deployment at UPC Sweden. UPC and its partners integrated and deployed Espial's Evo IPTV Service Platform, including the newly launched Evo Server, in less than four months from project initiation to commercial launch. UPC Sweden was recently integrated into Com Hem, the leading Swedish provider of Triple Play services with 1.7 million customers covering all of Sweden.

Jiangsu Telecom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Telecom, has deployed Juniper Networks's E320 Broadband Service Routers to expand network edge capacity and meet subscriber demand for IPTV, video on demand and other advanced IP services. Jiangsu Telecom selected the E320 because it will enable Jiangsu to cost-effectively support more subscribers and introduce new services on its broadband network. The new E320 routers join the service provider's existing installed base of Juniper Networks E-series routers.

BitBand and Conklin-Intracom have been selected by several Independent Operating Companies (IOCs) for providing IPTV services to their subscribers. Among these independent telecommunications companies are BTC Broadband, Pembroke Telephone, and Delhi Telephone, providing residential and business services in Oklahoma, Georgia and New York.

According to The Kelsey Group's annual forecast, global local search* and online classified advertising revenues will grow from $15.7 billion in 2005 to $31.1 billion in 2010. The local search segment will grow from $3.4 billion in 2005 to $13 billion in 2010, with online classifieds growing from $12.3 billion to $18.1 billion during the same period.

According to a recently published report by Synergy Research Group, "Q2 2006 IPTV Router Market Shares," the worldwide IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) Router market increased 66 percent year-over-year and over 16 percent sequentially. The market was driven by Carriers aggressively building out IPTV deployments. Synergy believes IPTV provides a disruptive opportunity for Service Providers to compete directly with Cable TV companies for the delivery of digital television.

HomePNA announced the release of HomePNA 3.1, a home networking specification that increases data rates over existing home wiring to 320 Megabits per second.
