Verimatrix announces that TeliaSonera has deployed the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System for IPTV for the tier one telecommunications operator's successful IPTV services in the Nordic region, Estonia and Lithuania. TelcoTV announces an expanded show with two prestigious new components to be demonstrated during this year's November 11-13, 2008, conference at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, Calif.

ABC, ESPN and Veoh announce that full episodes from ABC and short-form online video content from ESPN.com are now accessible through Veoh. Seesmic has received $6 million in series B financing co-led by Omidyar Network, the philanthropic investment firm of eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, and leading pan-European venture capital firm Wellington Partners. The new round brings the total funding amount raised by Seesmic to $12 million.

Seesmic enables users to share experiences on blogs, social networks and with each other by uploading videos straight from their webcam or mobile device. The company will use the investment to further develop its video platform and to start its global rollout. Seesmic initiatives will focus on its platform strategy with a robust API already powering video conversations on 1500 sites and blogs as well as new partnerships with leading consumer brands and media and entertainment companies.

Packet Vision and TANDBERG Television announce they have partnered to deliver an advanced targeted advertising solution. The companies have built what they believe to be the world’s only solution capable of delivering truly frame-accurate splicing in H.264 over IPTV, which is a key component in ensuring seamless delivery of addressable advertising.

The solution was used to provide addressable advertising to university students subscribed to Inuk’s Freewire Service - an IPTV network that provides triple play services to universities across the UK. Ads played out during Channel 4 commercial breaks that weren’t relevant to students were replaced with ads for a major UK convenience food brand during May. It was the second such campaign to be completed successfully.

Verimatrix announces that Win Multimedia, Thailand's leading IPTV Operator and Multimedia Service Provider company, has selected Verimatrix to protect its Digital Television Channels and video-on-demand service of WinTV. Orca Interactive announces plans to expand into the Asia Pacific market. As part of this strategic expansion, Orca will initiate business development activities across the region during the third quarter of 2008, which will be supported by Viaccess’ existing presence. Content-House is using Kasenna MediaBase video server software and Kasenna LivingRoom middleware to deliver video-on-demand services to telcos and their customers across the country. For the first time, the new service will bring and on-demand content to hundreds of thousands of Russian households.

Content-House enables Russian ISPs to offer branded IPTV services without having to deploy or develop the infrastructure and expertise to provide them. Content-House is compiling and managing all of the system's content in its Moscow facility, and makes IPTV service available via custom-branded interfaces for each broadband carrier using Kasenna LivingRoom and MediaBase servers in multiple regional locations.
