PJTV announces its launch of Tea Party TV, offering comprehensive coverage of the Tea Party movement. The cornerstone of the Tea Party TV coverage will be a twice-a-week Internet TV show hosted by Glenn Reynolds and AlfonZo Rachel, well-known commentators on PJTV.

The inaugural episode of Tea Party TV features interviews with Tea Party leaders conducted at the recent National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, TN. PJTV was the coverage leader of the national convention, offering a live streaming feed of key speeches, breakout sessions and interviews with attendees.

AT&T announces that more than 200,000 Houston customers have made the switch to AT&T U-verse TV. The milestone comes after the initial launch of U-verse TV in the Houston area only three years ago.

Houston customers were among the first to receive AT&T U-verse in November 2006, and AT&T has continued its efforts to make the service more widely available in the market. AT&T U-verse is currently offered throughout the Houston region, including parts of Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris and Montgomery counties. From 2006 through 2008, AT&T's total capital investment in its Texas wireless and wireline networks was more than $6 billion, which helped facilitate the roll out of AT&T U-verse services across the state.

Brightcove announces a deal with Turner Broadcasting to support its online video content in the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and other countries throughout Europe. Turner Broadcasting will use the Brightcove platform to expand its advertising-supported online video offerings and to introduce a variety of new enhanced online video programming across its Web portals. The first sites to launch with Brightcove include Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Adult Swim.

Envivio On Demand solutions extend broadcast and IPTV services beyond the living room, enabling them to reach consumers anytime they access a network with a device that can display video.

Telekom Austria is one of the most innovative IPTV providers in Europe. The operator’s MediaBox interconnects the TV set, mobile phone and PC allowing any image, video or music file stored on the computer to be easily retrieved and accessed on any screen. Ericsson will exchange and enhance Telekom Austria’s current IPTV platform in order to deliver blended content services to multiple devices which will eliminate barriers between TV set and PCs and introduce a new generation user interface.

Amino has won the Costa Rican licitation to provide STBs to support a major IPTV rollout by the Costa Rican Electricity Institute. The network operator plans to launch services in the first half of 2010, targeting up to 100,000 homes across the country. Amino will work closely with systems integrator ITS on the service rollout and will provide 38,000 units including its A125, A130M and A530 DVR STBs phased over the next two years.

Sagemcom and SoftAtHome announce that they have collaborated to develop the first hybrid MPEG4 HD universal Set Top Box that combines IPTV, Satellite and Terrestrial delivery and content sharing through DLNA with a removable hard disk drive. The solution is being deployed by Orange, one of the world's leading telecommunications operators, to deliver premium services to its subscribers in France.

Harmonic announces that the Electra 8000 universal encoder was selected by Boston's NBC affiliate WHDH-TV for the recent HD broadcast of the 7 News pre-game and post-game shows at hockey's premiere regular-season event, the 2010 NHL Bridgestone Winter Classic, as well as the local broadcast of the upcoming Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, February 12-28.
