Amino, leading IPTV set-top box supplier, has partnered with Trimedia Broadcast Ltd to provide an end-to-end system for corporate IPTV. This enables an internal communications system to be installed rapidly and without the risk of incompatibilities. Using a range of models from the AmiNET family of IPTV set-top boxes, Trimedia has already secured a number of prestigious deployments, including a bespoke in-house IPTV service for Discovery Networks Europe.

The company today confirmed that the award-winning H.264 AmiNET124 IP set-top box is fully compatible with the industry's leading H.264 (otherwise known as MPEG4-AVC) encoders. By ensuring full interoperability and high quality video rendering via the AmiNET124, IPTV service providers can deploy advanced H.264 services using any of the major encoding technologies within a much shorter time-frame.

Espial and Amino today announced that they have partnered to provide innovative IPTV set-top box technology for Allin Interactive. This combined IPTV solution includes Espial EvoT running on top of the underlying Amino's IntAct IPTV software platform to provide a seamless operating system and middleware environment enabling a rich and highly responsive user experience.

Allin will utilize the set top box technology from Amino and Espial in its second generation digital ITV platform. Allin will introduce this technology to the market at a March industry tradeshow, SeaTrade.

Amino, leading IPTV software and consumer premises equipment provider, today confirmed that it has worked with Canal Digital to bring IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services to subscribers within the Nordic region. Canal Digital deployed AmiNET110 IPTV set-top boxes to subscriber homes to offer full IPTV services by the end of 2005.

Under the agreement, the patented Widevine Cypher Virtual SmartCard is pre-integrated with Sigma Designs' EM8620L and SMP8630 series. This enables telco, cable, satellite, Internet and wireless service providers to offer secure content delivery to consumer devices powered by Sigma Designs' chipsets. The Widevine Digital Media Processor Partner Program enables consumer electronics manufacturers a faster time to market with content protection for video operators around the world.

Based in Cambridge, England, SJC is a software company that has developed advanced video codec products such as MPEG4 (H.264) and Windows Media/VC1. The intellectual property for these codec products has been licensed and deployed in an array of set top boxes for several customers including Amino. The company's primary focus is in embedded systems design, particularly for advanced networked equipment using technologies such as MPEG, ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) and wireless Ethernet.

Motorola, Inc. today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Kreatel Communications AB, a leading developer of innovative Internet Protocol (IPTV) based digital set-tops, headquartered in Linköping, Sweden. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kreatel's Linux-based solution extends into the application and middleware layers, allowing it to be used with a broad set of middleware solutions. Kreatel's customer base includes such major service providers as Telefónica (Spain), TeliaSonera (Sweden), and KPN (The Netherlands).

Kreatel Communications today announced the agreement with Bonnier-owned FastTV to supply set-top boxes for FastTV's Scandinavian IPTV service. Deliveries of Kreatel IP-STB 1510 and Kreatel TV Software have already started.

In cooperation with city and regional networks and Swedish Space Corporation for the infrastructure and playout, FastTV offers broadband television services including more than 50 digital TV channels, video on demand, email, and EPG to a large number of households in cities across Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

In a project managed by SONY Europe, with Head End equipment from Tandberg Television, Araneo's new ARD 10i iPTV Set Top Box has been chosen to deliver interactive content for the 2006 French Tennis Open Championship.

Against established competitors, Araneo have secured the contract by offering a cost effective solution with advanced specification, project customisation and delivery within aggressive timescales.

MatrixStream Technologies, Inc., will be demonstrating at CES the world's first H.264 AVC (advance video codec) Video on Demand and IPTV Set Top Box (STB) and PC Player capable of the highest of high definition (HD) signal formats with 1080 vertical pixels by 1920 horizontal pixels.

Verimatrix and i3 micro technology, developer of premier IP customer premise equipment (CPE) for advanced triple play services, today announced the Mood 300 as the industry's first IP set-top box (STB) to be fully integrated with Verimatrix's VideoMark, its patent pending user-specific forensic watermarking technology. Both companies are demonstrating the integrated solution during the 2006 International CES show.

Amino has announced that its advanced software stack for IPTV set-top boxes is to be combined with STMicroelectronics's ST7100 family of semiconductors. Broadcom Corporation, a global leader in wired and wireless broadband communications semiconductors, today announced the industry's first front-end cable TV set-top box chip with integrated channel bonding technology. Channel bonding is a DOCSIS ® 3.0 feature that dramatically increases the transmission speed of a cable TV network, enabling multi service operators (MSOs) to migrate to an all- Internet Protocol (IP) network platform. Addressing voice, video and data, the all-IP network enables MSOs to provide significant benefits such as additional cable and local broadcast channels, content flexibility and improved network efficiency.

FOCUS Enhancements, Inc., a worldwide leader in video production, Ultra Wideband wireless and video conversion technology, today announced its FS453, FS454, FS455 and FS456 video convergence processors will appear in multiple set-top boxes (STBs) and media players that will be demonstrated and displayed in several manufacturers' booths at the International CES 2006 in Las Vegas from January 5th through January 8th.
