Orca Interactive, a global market leader in developing applications for TV over IP, announced that the company will attend IBC2005 Sept. 9-13 at the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre in Amsterdam and demonstrate advanced services for IPTV.

Amino confirmed that Cavalier Telephone, a US CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) with 180,000 residential subscribers has chosen Amino's AmiNET124 set-top box as part of its IPTV (IP Television) services development. The AmiNET124 is Amino’s first single-chip IP set-top box which supports the new MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) video compression standard. The contract is part of a substantial multi-year agreement and deployment will commence in October 2005. Further details of the contract, including value and quantities, have not been disclosed.

Alcatel has signed an agreement with Eurosport, a leading producer and distributor of sports-related contents and programming. Thanks to this agreement, Eurosport will contribute to Alcatel's turnkey new media enablement activities by supplying a wide variety of expertise and professional services, focused on live sporting events.

Espial®, a leading provider of client IPTV applications and middleware, announced the availability of the Espial Portal Content Development Kit (Portal CDK), a PC-based tool that complements the Espial ® Escape ^TM browser for developing interactive content services for IPTV subscribers.

Alcatel has been chosen by the State Ministry of Communications (MOC) in Kuwait to supply a gigabit passive optical network (GPON) solution that will serve about 60 % of the access areas involved in the present rollout. Alcatel's solution will enable the MOC to offer triple-play services (voice, video and data) to subscribers via a fiber to the user (FTTU) architecture. As MOC's strategic partner for this project, Alcatel will support the full end-to-end system integration for both the network and the service roll out.

Broadstream Communications, Inc. announced that Emergica Broadband Media Corp. has selected Broadstream to provide outsourced head-end, transport and middleware services to support the launch of IPTV services to their ADSL and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) communities in northern Colorado.

Kasenna, the IPTV Company^TM, announced that it is working with IBM to develop RegenTV, a community based digital service for the London Borough of Newham. Kasenna will provide two key components to the overall package; LivingRoom, its IPTV service application, and MediaBase, its video server platform. Both of these leading products have been critical in enabling the London Borough of Newham to cost effectively install, deploy and operate a wealth of IPTV based applications for the community within the RegenTV initiative.

ANT plc, a leading provider of embedded browser, content control and user interface software for IPTV and consumer electronics markets, announced the availability of its next generation browser-based user interface software, ANT Galio, on IPTV set-top boxes from six leading developers - Pace Micro Technology, Amino Communications, Homecast, Humax, InfoEQ and Kaon Media.

TANDBERG Television will provide IBC visitors with a clear picture of the technologies that improve the quality, choice and economics of digital TV. The company will highlight developments in its first-to-market, fully integrated video compression systems for SD and HD. IBC will also see the debut of TANDBERG Television 's newly integrated N2 On-Demand Solutions with systems for broadcast and dynamic content management and delivery, as well as broadband cable and IPTV VoD.

INTRACOM S.A. offers Full Service Content Distribution Network platform (fs|cdntm), a solution which enables the delivery and management of Video, Voice & Data services, thus allowing Telecom operators to offer "Triple-Play" services in a cost-efficient way, reducing customer churn and enhancing their ARPU.

ViewNow, a leading Video on Demand (VOD) programming provider, announced that Cavalier Telephone has licensed its content and will be using its ViewTrak ^TM usage monitoring, tracking, and reporting software for a new multi-state deployment. Cavalier Telephone, based in Richmond, Virginia, is a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) serving business and residential customers across five states and the District of Columbia. Cavalier plans to use the ViewNow products with Kasenna's PortalTV ^TM infrastructure to roll out a compelling new video on demand (VOD) service.

Kasenna, The IPTV Company, announced a substantial multi-year deal to supply Cavalier Telephone with its full PortalTV product suite, including the Kasenna LivingRoom ^TM middleware platform and client SDK, MediaBase ^TM video servers, and vFusion ^TM video network management software. In addition, Cavalier will license major studio content from Kasenna's ViewNow division and will use ViewNow's ViewTrak monitoring software to gauge customer viewing habits. Alcatel and Amdocs, a leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management and the intentional customer experience, announced they have signed a letter of intent designed to address the requirements of communications service providers (CSPs) looking to deploy Internet Protocol or IP-based television (IPTV) and other next generation broadband IP services. Through this arrangement, the two companies will work to deliver a joint end-to-end solution that will allow CSPs to offer "triple play" bundles of voice, data and video services, making deployments faster and easier, and reducing operational costs.

IMAKE, the major provider of solutions and services that enable the seamless delivery and management of interactive and On Demand broadband services, announced that it reached a new company milestone this month. IMAKE's OpenVision software now ingests, or processes, and distributes more than 4,800 titles and over 2,500 hours of content each month.

Espial, a leading provider of client IPTV applications and middleware, today announced that Comtrend Corporation, a global manufacturer of telecommunications solutions, has selected Espial Escape(TM) for its new IPTV Triple Play box. The new set-top box will be demonstrated at Espial's stand at the China Broadband Triple Play & IPTV conference July 20-22, 2005.
