Intellon Corporation, the leading provider of HomePlug-compatible integrated circuits (ICs) for home networking, networked entertainment and connected powerline applications, will showcase its next generation HomePlug AV powerline communications technology delivering HD video over the powerline at this fall's Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in San Francisco. Live and On-Demand Mobile Video Available over HotPoint's National Wi-Fi Network

SmartVideo Technologies, announced that it has signed a national Wi-Fi distribution agreement with HotPoint Wireless, Inc. one of the country's premier operators of wireless communications to hotels, restaurants, retail, residential, convention centers, hospitals, and airports. HotPoint provides a comprehensive solution to wireless communications offering the right solution for any given location with state-of-the-art equipment and complete turn-key service. Currently HotPoint is operating wireless networks in over 550 locations nationwide and nearly 20 international sites. In addition, HotPoint is deploying Wi-Fi enabled kiosks in diversified groups of high traffic locations.

China Digital Media Corporation ("Digimedia") announced the launch of a trial for a new IP based Set-Top-Box in Nanhai, a city in Guangdong province with 400,000 Cable TV subscribers. The Company is one of the first digital TV operators in China to deploy the trial of IP based STB with its high-end users. The new STB in trial is equipped with an Ethernet port which could facilitate various Internet based services to end users; such as video-on-demand, online shopping channels, online games and interactive education services. The new STB is developed in coordination with Shenzhen Coship Electronics Co. Ltd. that could transform a television set into an interactive and a multimedia platform.

Akimbo Systems announced that Major League Baseball's interactive media and Internet company, MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), will provide premium programming to Akimbo for its Internet-delivered video-on-demand service for television. Akimbo's programming from MLBAM will include on-demand baseball action including condensed games and a selection of MLB highlight clips. Most selections will be available in the early morning the day after the games. In addition, full game replays of past seasons' key match-ups, such as record breakers and perfect games, pennant races, playoffs and World Series games will be offered through the Akimbo Service. MLBAM's archive collection covers the rich history of baseball, from legends to celebrated games and current stars.

Paradyne, a leading provider of triple play broadband loop carriers (BLCs) and Ethernet access equipment, announced that Cavalier Telephone will be using the 8000 BLC platform to support Cavalier's entry into the IPTV video service business. Passave, Inc., a market leader in fiber to the home (FTTH) semiconductors for the broadband access network market, is introducing a pair of Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) devices, the PAS5211 optical line terminal (OLT) and the PAS6211 optical network terminal (ONT), that will deliver 2.5-gigabit-per-second bandwidth for GPON-compatible FTTH equipment. Using Passave's field-proven GigaPASS^TM architecture, the two new products will provide interoperability for GPON central-office (CO) equipment and GPON customer premise equipment (CPE).

Broadstream Communications, Inc. announced that Emergica Broadband Media Corp. has selected Broadstream to provide outsourced head-end, transport and middleware services to support the launch of IPTV services to their ADSL and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) communities in northern Colorado.

Kasenna, the IPTV Company^TM, announced that it is working with IBM to develop RegenTV, a community based digital service for the London Borough of Newham. Kasenna will provide two key components to the overall package; LivingRoom, its IPTV service application, and MediaBase, its video server platform. Both of these leading products have been critical in enabling the London Borough of Newham to cost effectively install, deploy and operate a wealth of IPTV based applications for the community within the RegenTV initiative.
