Thanks again to all users who have provided feedback regarding our detailed list of Internet TV stations. In our latest round of modifications and enhancements, we've completed some large tasks.

• New: Added a tabular format for our search criteria and help to reduce the amount of space required on the top of the page. This was done to help bring the actual Internet TV listing higher on the page and reduce the amount of scrolling required.
• New: Subject categories are the most widely selected criteria so we've made it simplier for users to select by displaying all the categories on the first tab. Users can still limit criteria further by clicking on the search tab.
• To increase usability of the Internet TV station page, we have reduced the amount of static content always displayed at the top. This content has moved to the help tab and on the right column of the page.
• In the News: In an exclusive event, the Swedish Match Tour TV station will be showing the final two days of the St. Moritz Match Race live on the Tour's broadband Internet channel this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20-21. Viewers can launch the Swedish Match Tour Internet TV channel and view the web site via our Internet TV listing.
• Several new countries have been added with related stations.
• We've added several new Internet TV stations to our existing categories and countries since our last update so be sure to check out the listing.

For example, with HomePlug AV capability designed into consumer products (such as TVs, audio equipment, computers, and networking gear), a high-definition television show or movie from a PC, PVR or set top box can be viewed on any television in a home - all without running new wiring. This is because HomePlug AV uses the power lines already installed in a home as a path to transmit digital data between devices. HomePlug AV will be an important enabling technology for IPTV and triple play applications.

Sigma Designs, a leader in digital media processing for consumer appliances, announced that it has begun sampling its new SMP8634 media processor, designed for the latest Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) set-top boxes and high-definition DVD players. The SMP8634 represents a substantial milestone for the media processor industry, providing the first system-on-chip processor that not only decodes H.264 (AVC), VC-1 and MPEG-2, but also supports multi-stream decoding of any format, up to the equivalent of two simultaneous high-definition streams, along with full-screen graphics.

Consumers interested in interactive services such as advertising, gaming, and voting on game shows, who total 27% of all U.S. households, represent a lucrative early market for IPTV services and applications, according to Parks Associates' "IP Video Services: Analysis and Forecast."

SBC Communications Inc. announced that contracts have been awarded to both Scientific-Atlanta and Motorola to deliver next-generation Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) set-top boxes that will enable customers to access TV programming, video-on-demand, interactive applications and other advanced features that are part of the U-verse family of services.

ANT plc, a leading provider of embedded browser, content control and user interface software for IPTV and consumer electronics markets, announced the availability of its next generation browser-based user interface software, ANT Galio, on IPTV set-top boxes from six leading developers - Pace Micro Technology, Amino Communications, Homecast, Humax, InfoEQ and Kaon Media.

VBrick Systems, Inc., an industry leader in affordable video over IP network solutions, today announced that it has received a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop a device that supports robust, next-generation Internet Protocol (IP) video. The grant includes funds for research with the intent of commercializing a powerful, cost-effective network video product for the emerging H.264 digital video standard.

X2 Corporation, a global manufacturer of digital lifestyle products, announced a strategic partnership with DAVETV, a global IPTV digital entertainment distribution network. The companies will work together to collaborate in building and developing new IPTV and ITV platforms for consumers and the OEM marketplace. The new alliance expects to propel both companies to the head of the ITV market through the creation of digital media devices that will connect the world of TV and the Internet.

EGT, Inc., delivering the world's best digital video experience, today announced ALTO, the company's flagship H.264 / MPEG-4 video processing platform. EGT will demonstrate ALTO's technology and capabilities at the upcoming IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam, September 8 - 13, 2005 at booth number #4.260.

Tut Systems Inc., an industry leader enabling the delivery of next-generation data and video services over broadband networks, announced that Cavalier Telephone selected its Astria ® content processor video headend and edge-processing solutions for delivering advanced IPTV services to its customers utilizing its advanced DSL and IP services.

Enhanced, Upgraded Broadband Platform on NickJr.com Offers Parents and Preschoolers Exclusive Programming Content Via the Internet

A new version of Nick Jr. Video, designed for preschoolers, launches with upgraded video quality and new featured content on Aug. 16. Nick Jr. Video, available on NickJr.com, is a broadband video service that allows kids to watch short- and long-form programming online, in full-screen. Part of Nickelodeon Online's recently launched TurboNick platform, Nick Jr. Video is the latest multiplatform experience created to allow kids to access Nickelodeon, joining its existing Video on Demand offerings on cable, as well as ring tones and video clips that are available via wireless providers.

Cdigix, the leading digital media service provider to exclusively serve the college marketplace, announced that three of Missouri's most prominent state universities - Southwest Missouri State University, the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Missouri-Rolla - have all committed to deploying Cdigix's services on their campuses.
