ARRIS announced that the ground-breaking Wideband Data and Channel Bonding capabilities of its Cadant® C4 CMTS with speeds up to 1.28 Gbps and Keystone(TM) D5(TM) Digital Multimedia Termination System (DMTS(TM)) featuring IPTV over DOCSIS will be among the highlights on display at Booth #5452 during next week's NCTA National Show in San Francisco (Moscone Center, April 3-5).

Scientific-Atlanta announced today that it has signed a multi-year agreement with SBC Communications, Inc. to design, build and activate the IP video super hub offices (SHO), IP video hub offices (VHO) and IP video operations center (VOC) for its Project Lightspeed network. This advanced network will be able to deliver video, voice and data services to 18 million households in the SBC 13-state service area.

Optical Solutions Inc., the market leader in next-generation GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) networks, today announced that Benton Cooperative Telephone Company of central Minnesota has selected the FiberPath 500 system to deliver "triple-play" FTTP (Fiber to the Premise) services to several new greenfield additions in the communities of Rice and Milaca.

Calix announced on March 15th details of a network-wide deployment of its C7 multiservice access platform with Pioneer Telephone, the country's third largest telephone cooperative. Calix has completed the first three phases of Pioneer's eight-region network upgrade to high-speed ADSL2+ and IPTV services, and entered the fourth phase to be deployed in April 2005; the Oklahoma network is expected to be fully ultra-broadband enabled and video ready by early 2006. The Pioneer IPTV rollout blankets the carrier's entire network footprint of 72 exchanges and, when complete, will provide up to 33,000 homes with IPTV capability.

Labs2 Group AB will be utilizing Net Insight’s Nimbra ™ platform to build a Scandinavian IPTV triple-play network. The announcement came today. The new network will allow Labs2 to permit carries to provide triple play services such as TV, HDTV, Video-on-Demand, telephone and data services.

Kasenna announced on March 9th that it has been awarded a core patent on an IPTV content distribution technique that allows large, decentralized IPTV networks to scale more cost-effectively. US Patent 6,859,840, titled "Prefix Caching for Media Objects," provides a general mechanism for distributing content from a content management system maintained at an origin server cluster to a set of edge nodes.

Eagle Broadband, Inc., a provider of broadbrand, Internet and communications technology, teamed up with GlobeCast, a subsidiary of France Telecom to launch IPTVComplete TM, a turnkey IPTV services solution that provides a package of standard, premium and high-definition television programming with over 200 channels, together with video-on-demand, pay-per-view and digital music services with full multicast rights for distribution over data networks in America.
