Tut Systems Inc., an industry leader enabling the delivery of next-generation data and video services over broadband networks, announced that Monroe Telephone deployed its Astria content processors to deliver advanced digital TV services to customers in Monroe, Oregon.

GPON market leader Optical Solutions Inc. has been awarded a contract with Telepak Networks of Jackson, Mississippi, to deploy that state's first FTTH network. Residents of Roxie, approximately 80 miles south of Jackson, will receive a triple-play offering of voice, data and IPTV video starting later this year.

Canby Telephone commissioned Tut Systems's Astria content processors to deliver advanced IPTV services, known as Canby Digital Television, to customers in Canby, Oregon.

With its video launch, Canby Telephone re-enters the broadcast TV market for the first time since selling its cable operations to Willamette Broadband in 2001.

Optical Entertainment Network (OEN) announced that Amino will supply standard and high definition Set-Top Boxes (STB's) for FISION's fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Video service. Amino confirmed that Cavalier Telephone, a US CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) with 180,000 residential subscribers has chosen Amino's AmiNET124 set-top box as part of its IPTV (IP Television) services development. The AmiNET124 is Amino’s first single-chip IP set-top box which supports the new MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) video compression standard. The contract is part of a substantial multi-year agreement and deployment will commence in October 2005. Further details of the contract, including value and quantities, have not been disclosed.
