Eagle Broadband, Inc. and GlobeCast announced that Home Town Cable has selected the companies' IPTVComplete™ video solution to deliver advanced video and entertainment services over Home Town Cable's state-of-the-art, fiber-to-the-user broadband network to residents and businesses in western Ohio.

Tut Systems, Inc. announced that Golden Belt Telephone Association of Rush Center, Kansas, has deployed its Astria(R) digital headend solution for delivering IPTV services over their xDSL network. Golden Belt becomes the third telecommunications service provider in Kansas to deploy a Tut Systems digital TV platform.

Cornell students will be able to watch Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) over their internet connections come August 20th of this year. The service, nicely named CUTV, will be available in Cornell’s residence halls.

CUTV will bring students 50 Time Warner channels of news and entertainment programming. The content can be viewed through the computer or on a television with the aid of a set-top box.

Calix announced on March 15th details of a network-wide deployment of its C7 multiservice access platform with Pioneer Telephone, the country's third largest telephone cooperative. Calix has completed the first three phases of Pioneer's eight-region network upgrade to high-speed ADSL2+ and IPTV services, and entered the fourth phase to be deployed in April 2005; the Oklahoma network is expected to be fully ultra-broadband enabled and video ready by early 2006. The Pioneer IPTV rollout blankets the carrier's entire network footprint of 72 exchanges and, when complete, will provide up to 33,000 homes with IPTV capability.
