Matanuska Telephone Association has selected Amino Communications as part of their expanded HD IP set-top box deployment. Alaska-based MTA provides over 60,000 lines across its 10,000 square mile network area, offering a range of broadband, IPTV and wireless services to residential and business customers. One of the largest independent telcos in the US, MTA was formed in 1953 to serve residents in Palmer, Eagle River and Wasilia.

AT&T announces the launch of several new enhancements for U-verse TV customers, including Multiview, an app that lets you watch multiple channels at one time; TV Awards and New Shows, an app that helps you stay on top of this season's award shows and season premieres; and a new Media Share feature which lets you stream personal photos and music files from your PC to your U-verse TV. Each of these latest upgrades are now available to every U-verse TV customer at no extra charge.

Occam Networks announces Farmers Telephone Cooperative is now using the latest GigE and GPON FTTP options from Occam Networks to deliver IPTV to its deepest rural and highest density service areas. Since FTC’s deployment and installation of Occam’s BLC 6000 System, FTC has successfully served over 3,500 video subscribers with MPEG4-based Triple Play services including IPTV, while upgrading the company’s 450 remote cabinets using Occam retrofit kits. FTC is now adding fiber fed rural subscribers utilizing the Occam GPON technology integrated in its BLC 6000 System to access IPTV. This GPON deployment utilizes the same Ethernet based MSAP used in FTC’s initial MPEG4 deployment, eliminating the need for a new system while providing greater scalability and more simplicity.

KyLinTV debuted its "Basic Taiwan Package" with the addition of two ETTV channels of Taiwan. EchoStar Satellite Services agrees to deliver its ViP-TV video transport service to Citizens Cablevision, a full service provider of digital television programming in Virginia and a wholly owned subsidiary of Citizens Telephone Cooperative. Verimatrix, HFCNET & IP-NET have successfully completed integration in preparation for deployment of Mexico’s first advanced DVB-C/IP/DOCSIS hybrid network with Cablemás, the second largest cable operator in Mexico. The NRTC investment enables access to all the best programming available from Hollywood, network providers, and independent producers, as well as ensures members a stake in a robust, next-generation IPTV transport platform.

HickoryTech has launched CloverLeaf's DotDaily interactive television service providing localized news and information to HickoryTech's IPTV subscribers in Minnesota. CloverLeaf's interactive localized news & information TV service, often known as a walled garden, provided to HickoryTech and other telephone and cable companies, includes news and sports coverage from Associated Press, local weather from AccuWeather, local cinema guides and horoscopes; as well as local content including community events calendars, school lunch menus and community slide shows, published by community organizations using CloverLeaf's DashDaily community content publishing tools.

Avail Media announces the addition of Dascom Systems Group to the company's growing sales channel partner program, as well as the companies' first joint affiliate customer, Valley Telephone Cooperative of Raymondville, Texas. By partnering with Avail Media, Dascom will now be able to offer its services as a systems integrator for Avail Media deployments for new affiliates as well as those transitioning from other service providers, such as SES Americom's IP Prime platform, from which Valley Telephone is converting its transport solution.
