The National Basketball Association and Joost launch NBA Channel on Joost. The new channel will provide fans around the world with viewing access to “Instant Classic” NBA games and video highlight packages for the remainder of the 2007-08 NBA season.

NeuLion and The American Basketball Association announce a new partnership to deliver live games and consumer driven video on demand using NeuLion’s iPTV service directly to consumers’ television sets. In conjunction with Sports Video Group’s League Technology Summit in New York City on December 11, this announcement follows NeuLion’s successful launch of other IPTV networks for the National Hockey League, New York Knicks, National High School Coaches Association and others.

Brightcove has entered into a company-wide agreement with Channel 4 allowing the broadcaster to incorporate video content across all of its online properties. The first Channel 4 site to launch video content with Brightcove is its new online promotional destination "TV Clips," featuring clips from current TV programmes, an archive of the best moments from Channel 4's 25 years of broadcasting, and a preview of new programming coming to Channel 4.

Recognised as one of the industry's most innovative broadcasters, Channel 4 will use the Brightcove Internet TV platform to distribute online video clips to help drive Internet users to watch full-length programme content via Channels 4's linear transmissions, its 4oD on demand site or by purchasing a DVD.

Music fans around the world watched live on the Web as Avril Lavigne accepted top honors at the 14th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, streamed online with the Niagara Pro from ViewCast Corporation. Designed For high-quality, high-resolution video capture and streaming, the Niagara Pro enabled MTV Europe to offer exclusive Web broadcasts featuring award presentations and dazzling performances from A-list stars including Lavigne, the Foo Fighters, Babyshambles, Mika, Nicole Scherzinger, will.i.am, and My Chemical Romance.

Mogulus enables anyone with a computer, a web-cam and a high speed connection to broadcast like a multi-million dollar television station. Mogulus, in private beta for the past four months, is one of the most popular live streaming applications in Internet history. More than 17,000 producers with beta access created more than 18,000 live 24/7 channels and streamed more than 12 million unique viewer minutes a month, according to Haot.

Like ESPN GamePlan, the online version of ESPN Full Court has been rolled into ESPN360 for U.S. viewers. Users with an ESPN360 affiliated broadband provider can watch FullCourt games for free live online. ESPN Full Court International will be launched in January. It will be available to international fans only using the same player that ESPN uses for GamePlan international. Prices are not yet known.

We were able to have several games streaming at once until we started using multiple computers to watch ESPN360.

Ustream.TV announces a number of company and industry-related achievements reflecting the growth of live online video broadcasting as a new way for people around the world to connect. MySpace launches an original Internet series, “quarterlife,” created and owned by Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, the Emmy award-winning creative team. The first of 36 eight-minute episodes goes live this Sunday, November 11 on MySpaceTV with new episodes debuting every Sunday and Thursday at 12 a.m. PT. The new “quarterlife” series marks the first time a network-quality series has been produced directly for the Internet and it’s the first time an independent project of this distinction has been owned and controlled by its creators, Herskovitz and Zwick.

Revision3 finds a new home on Pyro.TV. Under the terms of a new agreement, Pyro.TV viewers will have access to select programming from Revision3, on their own personal Internet TV viewing page on the Pyro.TV video channel service. In addition to Diggnation and The GigaOM Show, original programming from Revision3 that is available on Pyro.TV includes Tekzilla, iFanboy, The Totally Rad Show, WebDrifter, XLR8R, Infected, PixelPerfect, Systm and thebroken.

Consumers will be able to view Revision3 shows on Pyro.TV in three ways: on the Pyro.TV Internet TV service; on Pyro.TV's online syndication network, which includes media partners EarthLink and RCN; and via the Vibe Solutions multichannel player, which may be embedded into users’ personal pages at one of many social networks such as Facebook or MySpace.
