NBC Digital Entertainment and NBC Universal Cable Entertainment announce plans for streaming vintage television content on their entertainment websites. Full episode streaming of classic, fan-favorite series including "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour," "Kojak," "Miami Vice," the original "Battlestar Galactica," "A-Team" and "Emergency" will be offered on NBC.com, SCIFI.com, ChillerTV.com and SleuthChannel.com beginning this month.

"NBC Universal has a tremendous library of quality content and we are very excited to re-introduce these classic shows to a new web audience," said Vivi Zigler, Executive Vice President, NBC Digital Entertainment.

Wavexpress to feature five of ON Networks’ entertaining and engaging TV shows in high-definition in its free Internet television application TVTonic.

The new channels being added to TVTonic’s lineup include:

• Golf Tips with Joe Beck: Golf enthusiasts looking for expert advice on improving their game need look no further. Golf Tips debuts as a virtual driving range, offering viewers direct access to the best golf techniques available, delivered by seasoned PGA professional Joe Beck.
• On Dating: Dating coach Andrea Syrtash helps viewers navigate the sometimes treacherous terrain of online romance. Each episode serves as a 3-8 minute primer on how to date in the 21st century, offering viewers advice on topics ranging from how to write the perfect profile to selecting the site that’s best for you.

ESPN to announce this week that college campuses and military bases, anyone in the .edu or .mil domain will be able to access live programming on its ESPN360 web site free of charge. Opening ESPN360’s doors to college students and members of the military will more than double its possible users base. This move could potentially help drive more traffic to ESPN360 which has recorded only 500,000 viewing hours since it started focusing on live sporting events last September.

Last month, the service showed more than 450 hours of Australian Open tennis as well as 225 college basketball games, cricket matches, international soccer matches and the Winter X Games.

Showtime Networks is taking its 2008 Primetime Emmy campaign online in a modern approach which provides members of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences an efficient and eco-friendly option to screen eligible programming for awards consideration. Working with Internet TV leader Brightcove they will deliver a customized Internet-based experience that allows voting members to view full seasons of Showtime's original series beginning February 15 and throughout the June balloting and final August judging phases. SHOWTIME is the first network to make entire seasons available to Academy members via the internet.

To engage Americans and make the 2008 Republican National Convention the most tech-savvy ever, convention President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Cino said Ustream.TV will serve as the event's Official Live Video Streaming Provider. The announcement was made during a news conference broadcast live over the Internet using the Ustream.TV Web-based video platform.

"Partnering with Ustream.TV sends a clear message that the Republican Party wants the Internet generation and all people -- from Party loyalists to casual observers -- to be part of the 2008 Republican National Convention," said Cino. Joining the current trend of video/social community start-up sites, NEXT.TV is rolling out its new web application at DEMO 2008. Virgin America and Revision3 are partnering to bring original, cutting-edge web-based television programming to guests on the next generation carrier's flights. Revision3 programming on Virgin America will make its debut this March and will be available on the airline's flights to New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, San Diego and Seattle.

Revision3 on the Red Inflight Entertainment System will launch with a unique array of broadcast quality web-based shows, including Revision3 favorites like Diggnation, Tekzilla, The Totally Rad Show, Web Drifter, XLR8R TV and The Digg Reel.

HBO will make it's content available on the Internet. HBO on Broadband will begin rolling out Tuesday, in Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wis., with other markets following later. HBO on Broadband will offer 600 titles each month, with 400 of those available at any time, as well as a live stream of the main HBO channel, a feature that may appeal to subscribers who are away from home.

HBO’s programming is to be watched in a separate computer application that downloads shows to the hard drive. The application is available only on Windows PCs initially and the downloaded content cannot yet be transferred to portable devices. The downloaded content also expires four weeks after being downloaded. The application allows users to set up accounts for each family member and use parental controls that can block violent or explicit content.

Currently, the company has no time-line for when it will be available to all U.S. subscribers.

Narrowstep has entered into a partnership with Fox International’s BabyTV, to provide their original programming over the Internet using Narrowstep’s platform. BabyTV is the world’s first TV channel dedicated to infants and toddlers. Vividas launches the new Fox Soccer Channel Broadband service, powered by the Vividas Media Platform, a fully-integrated Web-based video and e-commerce platform. The new FoxSoccer.tv site will offer on-demand soccer matches from England's Barclays Premier League, as well as other international competitions to millions of viewers throughout the United States. The new service uses Vividas' innovative full-screen video streaming technology. The site's e-commerce back end also offers consumers easy, instant access to their favorite matches.

Fox Soccer Channel Broadband offers up to five soccer matches each week. Users have the option to buy single matches, 10-match packages or season passes giving access to all available games. Prices start at $4.99 per match with a full-season package priced at $49.99.

A software provider of embedded Linux-based media over IP applications announced the launch of its new technology built on Texas Instruments' DaVinci digital media processors. DigiLink's new technology will enable traditional TV viewers to watch Internet TV directly on their Digital Televisions and it will be demonstrated live in the Texas Instruments' DaVinci demo suite during the 2008 CES. DigiLink also announced the formation of a strategic partnership with 3D Incorporated, a consumer electronics business development company, in anticipation of accelerating the adoption of DigiLink's enabling ITV technology in consumer-oriented products.

TV Worldwide has again been selected by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to webcast the 59th Annual Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards at the 41st International CES Show live from Las Vegas, on Monday, January 7, 2008, 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT at www.TVWorldwide.com and www.TVMainStream.com. Revision3 has achieved significant growth and major milestones in the year 2007. Among these achievements is a substantial increase in viewership numbers. Amino and Antena 3 announce the first delivery of a live national TV channel over an IP satellite data link in Spain. Using Amino’s AmiNET125 IPTV STB, La Fundación Antena 3, a non-profit charity supported by Grupo Antena 3, is broadcasting a new free to view channel called FAN3 in hospitals.

With the FAN3 channel, La Fundación Antena 3 helps children in hospitals to recover by offering information related to their specific illnesses and treatments. Furthermore, FAN3 educates children and teenagers by fostering good habits to protect their health in an educative and enjoyable manner.
