Playboy TV launches a hip and sexy comedy series "Canoga Park." Premiering Friday, November 9 at 10pm ET with a sneak-preview airing this Friday, November 2, this funny, innovative show combines the appeal of cutting-edge entertainment like "The Office" and "Entourage" with all the sexy elements for which Playboy TV is known.

"Canoga Park" chronicles the misadventures of a down-on-his-luck adult film mogul, Mitch Tanner, and his clueless crew at the American Insertions studio as they strive with varying degrees of success to produce the ultimate adult blockbuster. "Canoga Park" does for premium television what Boogie Nights did for film: give the viewer side-splitting joyride through the adult film world and an intimate look at the smokin' hot characters who inhabit it. PermissionTV announces its interactive Internet video technology platform powers BostonPops.TV, the inaugural online video initiative by an orchestra. The Internet TV programming is available free of charge and includes an array of video features, including award-winning music ensembles, behind-the-scenes footage, expert interviews and conducting lessons.

SanDisk launched the public beta version of Fanfare, a Web-based service that enables consumers to download television shows, movies and other video content to portable devices. The beta of the Fanfare content delivery service platform coincides with the U.S. online retail availability of the new Sansa TakeTV PC-to-TV video player (formerly “USBTV”). The combination of Fanfare with Sansa TakeTV creates an end-to-end entertainment system enabling viewers to time-shift and place-shift their favorite shows by downloading them from their PC to watch them on nearly any TV, at any time.

The first U.S-based content partners on the Fanfare beta platform include: CBS, Jaman.com Inc., Showtime Networks, Smithsonian Networks, The Weather Channel and TV Guide Broadband. Among the programs available immediately are CSI, Survivor China, Dexter and Sleeper Cell.

Microsoft joines initial launch partners in revealing highly anticipated details about new Extenders for Microsoft Windows Media Center. Anevia announces the deployment of their solutions in BBC head offices in United Kingdom. Siemens chose Anevia's innovative technology for the introduction of an IPTV service for the BBC. The service offers BBC staff contact with BBC and other channels output at their desktop and through IP set-top boxes. Uses include the distribution of Arabic TV channels for the new World Service Arabic News channel launching later this year. The service offers more than 100 Radio and TV channels including Worldwide and English TV channels.
