Telenor's Canal Digital and announce the start of a long-term strategic alliance which will see TiVo products introduced and distributed as the premier consumer experience for Canal Digital Direct-to-Home satellite customers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

For Canal Digital, the alliance becomes one of the key pillars in its strategy to continue offering the most advanced and enjoyable television experience to viewers across Scandinavia. The TiVo product will be available exclusively through Canal Digital where it will serve as Canal Digital's next generation platform, seamlessly integrating linear satellite and terrestrial TV channels, Canal Digital's video-on-demand service, and a variety of current and future "OTT" services. TiVo's intuitive, high definition user experience has been identified by several operators in Europe as the most compelling solution for translating an increasingly complex world of content options into a fun and elegant experience for the consumer.

Celeno Communications announces that the leading triple-play service provider in Slovenia and Croatia, Amis Telekom, has selected Celeno-enabled Wi-Fi Ethernet bridges to support its fast-growing “AmisTV2.0” IPTV service.

The Celeno-powered Ethernet bridges are the home-networking cornerstone of the Amis digital TV service. The Ethernet bridges allow for a simple, fast plug-and-play self installation with no need for installing new wires. The latest operator to launch an IPTV service in Spain, Europa Network, has selected the MiriMON solution from Mirifice to ensure the success of its TV service. MiriMON is an industry-leading monitoring solution, which enables Europa to ensure the delivery quality of its over-the-top services, an essential element in the success of their overall proposition.

Europa delivers TV over broadband for customers across Spain as part of its innovative triple play service, focused on the British expatriate community. The Europa service is delivered via Amino set-top boxes. Amino was selected due to its expertise in both IPTV and OTT, as well as, crucially, its out-of-the-box support for MiriMON monitoring.

Tilgin announces an initial order from a large systems integrator in South Eastern Europe. The order is for a new Tilgin customer, a leading operator in the region. The operator will deploy a national Fiber access network of remotely managed IP-based services.

The operator and Tilgin’s systems integrator partner will deploy Tilgin's Home Gateway solutions for fiber connectivity and Tilgin's VCM software for service and device management, starting late 2010. The operator will deliver a state of the art triple play solution enabled by Tilgin’s Home Gateway platforms including both field-based software and hardware. Initial order value is approximately 3 MSEK.

Motorola announces the first commercial deployment of its VIP1002E/F Series IPTV set-top with TTNET in Turkey. As one of the first set-tops to support the launch of TTNET’s IPTV service, the cost-effective VIP1002E/F will offer TTNET’s customers next-generation services such as pausing live TV, a feature normally found on higher specification digital video recorder set-tops.

Running the latest version of Motorola’s KreaTV application platform, the Motorola VIP1002 Series redefines the IP video experience. It allows operators to quickly generate new revenue while providing viewers with a high quality viewing experience across a broad range of IPTV services.

Espial announces that Optimus Clix has doubled the usage of its Time-Shift TV Services in the first 5 months of 2010. Optimus Clix is a fixed and mobile telecom operator in Portugal with a national DSL network reaching 1.6 million homes and a FTTH deployment already covering more than 200,000 households. As part of their triple-play service, customers can subscribe to Optimus Clix TV, its IPTV solution.

Bluestreak Technology announces that Bouygues Telecom has selected the company’s MachBlue platform to power the next-generation interface for Bouygues Telecom’s popular Bbox IPTV. The new IPTV interface, which launched beginning of June, gives consumers a visually rich and intuitive portal and entertainment programming guide created using Flash technology. Future releases of the Bbox interface will include a Media Center as well as a Widget Framework for accessing news, sports, weather, traffic, entertainment gossip, stocks, and horoscopes using the TV.

Amino has secured a new contract to provide STBs to Romtelecom. Deployment of IPTV services under the Dolce Interactiv brand is already underway in ten cities in Romania, including the capital Bucharest, Romtelecom offering the largest coverage for this entertainment technology in Romania. The company delivers a wide range of IPTV services, including broadcast content, PVR functionality and VoD.

Dreampark will provide middleware for the set top boxes that Fibrecity Holdings Limited is installing in UK residents' homes so that they can access next generation services including IPTV and ultra fast broadband.

Fibrecity Holdings Limited has developed a groundbreaking next generation service model that allows residents with a connection to a Fibrecity network to access next generation services including 100Mbps broadband from multiple service providers via a single Fibrecity connection. LIGA total! is the Bundesliga service of Entertain. It allows customers to view all 612 1st and 2nd Bundesliga soccer matches live, via the confer-ence service and on demand . For the first time, TV viewers can also ex-perience all Bundesliga matches in HD. In addition to broadcasts of all individual matches and conference services, all the fixtures of a given match day are available on demand. Entertain customers can access full-length individual games, conference recordings or match-day highlights at any time from the TV archive. Round-ups of all fixtures for a given match day can be accessed just 30 minutes after the final whistle.

Verimatrix announces that WIST has deployed the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System for IPTV to secure its comprehensive lineup of services for the Rzeszow region. Working with partner VECTOR, VCAS for IPTV secures content for 80 MPEG-2/MPEG-4 channels, VOD and network personal video recorder services.

WIST is delivering IPTV services to subscribers via its ADSL2+ network and is using BeeSMART middleware, customized by VECTOR, and the 1910 series of set-top boxes from Motorola. WIST selected VCAS for IPTV based on Verimatrix's successful track record and strong endorsement from VECTOR.

Envivio has expanded its DigiTV IPTV service using the Envivio 4Caster C4 Three Screens encoder for live HD channels. The high efficiency and video quality provided by the 4Caster C4 HD chosen by Elion gives the company the flexibility it needs to grow its popular IPTV service. Envivio will showcase its portfolio of solutions for Mobile, IPTV and Internet service delivery at IPTV World Forum 2010 (Stand 158) in London from March 23-25.

SES ASTRA has again significantly increased its reach and grown the number of digital and High Definition TV households on the ASTRA satellite system. SES ASTRA is now broadcasting to 125 million TV homes across Europe and North Africa, three million more than the year before. For the first time, satellite reaches more households than cable in Europe, with 77 million satellite and 71 million cable households. Terrestrial infrastructures reach 86.5 million households; however, not even half of them (48 percent) are digital.

On Demand Group disclosed that its expansion strategy has led to the creation of a TV transactional video-on-demand service offering designed for French-speaking markets. Further, the Company stated that it has already secured its first multiyear contract to provide end-to-end content management for a leading multiplatform telco video service provider.

MTG announces that Viasat Broadcasting has signed a long term agreement with Telenor, which will enable Viasat to distribute its premium pay-TV channel packages to Telenor’s broadband customers. Telenor had 623,000 broadband customers in Norway and 574,000 broadband customers in Sweden at the end of 2009. Viasat’s channel packages will continue to be available to Telenor subsidiary Bredbandsbolaget’s subscribers in Sweden and will also be included in Telenor’s IPTV offering in Norway, which is expected to be launched for fibre-connected broadband customers during the Spring of 2010.
